Face Pack

How you look depends upon what you eat and drink. The ideal skincare routine is a daily procedure of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. To supplement this you must use a face pack from time to time. Face packs stimulate circulation, tones facial muscles giving the face an instant lift, and maintaing the elasticity of the skin. They clean your pores by drawing out deep-seated impurities.

When applying a face pack:
Apply the pack with your fingertips. The skin on your face is extremely delicate.
Do not apply the pack too close to your eyes and mouth because when the pack dries and tightens on your skin it may harm these delicate areas.
Apply cotton pads soaked in cucumber juice or tea bags soaked in iced water, on your eyes. You could also crush mint and apply around eyes. These are great for under-eye circles or to relieve stress.
Lie down as this is extremely relaxing and also prevents your skin from being stretched in a wrong manner.

There are many face packs available in the market. But you could prepare the best face pack in your kitchen itself. Here are are few handy face pack preparations.

Face pack for Oily Skin:
Carrot Pack
Ingredients
1 tbspn Carrot juice
1 tbspn honey
10 drops lemon juice
1 tbspn multani mitti or gram flour
Mix all the ingredients very well into a paste form and apply it for 20 minutes. Wash it off.

Face Pack For Dry Skin:
Honey Pack
Ingredients
3 tbspn almond oil
1 tbspn lanolin
1 tbspn Petroleum jelly
1 tbspn olive oil
Melt all the above ingredients over double boiler, remove from heat, beat it with an egg beater
until cool. Apply on face for 30 minutes and then wash off with luke warm water

Face Pack for soothing the Skin:
This pack relieves your skin when it is feeling tired and makes you feel relaxed.

Cucumber-Lime pack
Peel and slice a medium sized cucumber and put it in a bowl. Squeeze half lime juice over the slices and leave it over for an hour. Rub the soaked slices over your face carefully avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse it off with cold water.This pack works specially well for oily skin.

Cucumber-Yoghurt pack
Grate 1 small cucumber finely and mix it with 100 grams of yoghurt. Apply the pack on the face and leave on till it dries.Wash it off with cold water. This pack is good for dry and sensitive skin.

Packs for normal skin
:
Milk pack
Soak cotton balls in cold milk and apply them on the face. Leave it for 10 minutes and them wash your face with ice cold water. You will fell very fresh and your skin will also become smoother.
