FRESH CORN PAKORA
(Appetizers of Gujarat)

Ingredients Metric
bull.gif (140 bytes) Fresh corn-cobs 6
bull.gif (140 bytes) Besan 1 tblsp
bull.gif (140 bytes) Sugar 1 tsp.
bull.gif (140 bytes) Turmeric 1/4 tsp.
bull.gif (140 bytes) Curd 2 tblsps
bull.gif (140 bytes) Coriander leaves (chopped) 1 tblsp
bull.gif (140 bytes) Green chilies (chopped) 4
bull.gif (140 bytes) Ginger (chopped) small piece
bull.gif (140 bytes) Oil for frying
bull.gif (140 bytes) Salt to taste
Procedure
Yield : 4 People
  1. Wash and grate the corn.
  2. Mix well with all the ingredients, and make into small, round balls.
  3. Deep fry on a medium fire till light brown.
  4. Serve hot.
