| Ingredients |
- Vanaspati ghee : 3 tbsps
- Moong dal : 1 cup
- Milk : 3 cups
- Cardamom powder : 1/2 tsp
- Nutmeg : 1/2 tsp
- Almond : 3 tbsps (Optional)
- Raisins (Optional)
- Silver foil (Optional)

| Procedure

- Clean and soak dal for 1/2-1
hour.
- Fry the dal on a slow fire till
the colour becomes golden.
- Add milk and cook on a slow
fire, stirring continuously till
consistency of halwa is reached.
- Mix well and turn out on to a
flat dish. Add fried almonds, raisins and cardamom. Stick on the
silver foil.

: Care should be taken not to allow the halwa to turn brown.
