Ingredients
Rice : 200 gms (1

/2 cups)
Jaggery : 50-75 gms (1 small piece)
Lavang : 3 pieces powdered
Elaichi : 3 pods powdered
Ghee : 2 tbsps
Cashewnuts : 1 tbsp (chopped) (optional)
Raisins : 1 tbsp (optional)
Water : 3 cups
Procedure :
Heat ghee in a kadai and fry cashewnuts and raisins till golden brown. Strain and keep aside.
In a separate pan, wash rice well and cook in water till soft. Add a little more water, while cooking, if necessary.
When the rice is done and water almost evaporated, add jaggery and Milk and reduce the flame.
When almost dry, add lavang and elaichi powder (and nuts and raisins if you like) and mix well. Serve hot.
